Your stories: George
George is 93-years-young and has been living with HIV for over 20 years. Alongside his loving husband Somchai, George’s journey with HIV has taken him from more than 20 tablets a day to just two. He has also managed to overcome the long-term side effects he experienced from past treatments. Now he no longer experiences nerve pain, George is able to walk unaided and does not need to use a wheelchair.
With Somchai’s support, George is aware of how his medication makes him feel emotionally, mentally and physically. Together, they continue to look out for each other and keep a close eye on George’s medication. This helps him to continue taking his treatment as prescribed and has been vital in improving his health and wellbeing.
